Sunday 23 August, and what came after
You built an app. Here is everything to keep going.
You opened a project you had never seen, let Claude understand it, played it before changing anything, changed it on purpose, and worked toward putting it online. The replay and every file from the session are below.
Yours to keep
Everything from the session.
The starter project
The game, the artwork, six playable characters, and the instructions Claude Code reads automatically when you open the folder. Extract it to your Desktop and open that folder.
Participant guide
The whole session written down, step by step, in the same order we did it. If you did not finish on Sunday, start here.
Prompt card
Every prompt we used, ready to copy. Including the one that starts the whole thing off.
Keep building
What to try next once the basics work. Swap the scenario, change the character, rewrite what everybody says.
Questions and fixes
The things that go wrong most often, and what to do about each one. Worth a look before you give up on anything.
The workshop page
What Sunday actually covered, who it was for, and what we built, on the EM Designs site. Useful if you are sending it to someone who was not there.
Play the finished game
Deadline Run, running in your browser. It is 4:59, spot what is wrong in Bob's inbox, then run for Kate before the clock hits five.
The part worth keeping
EMMA works on anything, not just Sunday’s game
The game was the excuse. The framework is the thing that transfers, and it works on a project you inherited, a course somebody else built, or an idea that does not exist yet.
The starter project has EMMA written into its CLAUDE.md file, so Claude will walk you through the same four stages on its own. If you lose your place, ask it “where are we?” and it will tell you.
- ExploreLet Claude understand the project before it changes anything.
- ModelRun it yourself, so you know what it was before you touch it.
- ModifyOne change at a time, on purpose, looking after each one.
- ActualizePut it somewhere real, with a link you can send someone.
What is next
Take it to your own idea.
Open to everyone, women and men
Vibe Coding Academy
Four Tuesday evenings with EM Designs, 7:00 to 8:30pm ET, starting 8 September. Ten seats.
Sunday was on rails: the project, the artwork and the choices were all handed to you. This one starts from a blank folder and your own idea, and you finish the four weeks with it built, tested and shipped, plus a reusable setup you keep.
